A Cluttered Life: Middle-Class Abundance

Just this morning I stumbled upon this 18 minute documentary about a team of researchers from UCLA that went into homes of 32 middle-class families and did a study on clutter.

I admit to you, that after each time I watch similar films (think Marie Kondo Netflix series) I feel a jolt of motivation to start throwing things out and cleaning the house. Works like a charm every time.

It is also worth mentioning that these data served as basis for a book that is available on Amazon. I am getting it as a belated birthday present to myself.

I specifically could relate to their finding about toys slowly seeping into ALL rooms of the house thus giving one’s house an appearance of a “child centered” house.
