Daria is a PhD student at Seton Hall University and a long time public school teacher. She is Kappa Delta Pi Chapter president, Phi Delta Kappa member, and a graduate student committee member.  She holds a bachelor's degree from Kean University in Spanish language and Literature and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, management, and Policy from Seton Hall University.

Her research interests include contemplative practices in education, students assessment, community engagement, educational technologies, teacher effectiveness, work place productivity, and international comparative education.

She is a recipient of the 2016-2017 Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching and a Kappa Delta Pi Leadership Award for 2016. 

When she is not teaching, researching, or writing, she loves to practice yoga, spend time with her husband, and tend to her garden.
